FPF Courses!!!

Hi, I'm currently enrolled in Cal's FPF.

I'm taking Calc, English, ESPM, and trying to decide for my final breadth course. I can't figure out which I should take between Earth & Planetary Science with S W Hassler, or Integrative Bio - Marine Mammals with D J Long. These are both 2 unit courses, and I believe they both fulfill either the Bio Sciences breadth or the Physical Sciences breadth? I'm not sure what I am majoring in but as of now I'm thinking about a Pre-med route; therefore, I'll probably have to take a Chem or Bio class down the road which will probably fulfill either of those breadths. Not sure which class I should drop as of now! I've read reviews on Hassler but I can't find anything on Long, which makes me somewhat nervous. Has anyone taken either of these courses, especially the latter? Please give me feedback on your opinions, anything helps!

Thank You! :)

If you take pre-med courses, you will automatically fulfill the L&S breadths in physical and biological science, so you won’t need to take any other course specifically for that.

So keep one or both courses if they are of interest to you, or replace them with some other course of interest (and/or which satisfies some other breadth requirement like art and literature, historical studies, international studies).

This is probably late but since your still in the adjustment period, maybe sign up for classics with Syed or astronomy with sperling (people seem to say it’s an easy A). Ethnic Studies with Siri Brown is also great but I’m pretty positive it’s filled by now :/
