Franklin and Marshall or UC Berkeley

I was just admitted into F&M and UC Berkeley and I am having a hard time deciding where I want to go.

A little bit about myself: I plan on majoring in something science related (biochem) or something bio related, maybe even a minor in English or philosophy. I know for sure that I want to do pre med while in college. Money is not an issue for both institutions are giving me great financial aid. I am a California native and I would not mind moving out of state. I’m Hispanic and somewhat social.

Berkeley has that “prestige” with its name and Franklin and Marshall is not AS well known. Franklin and Marshall is much smaller which is something that I really like while Berkeley is much larger. I have been to Franklin and Marshall before and felt a feeling of belonging. I’ve never visited Berkeley but I plan on doing so sometime in April.
My teacher also advised me to consider the quality of living.

What do you guys think about this whole scenario that I’m in? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I’d go with Franklin and Marshall. Both will have excellent academics, but Premeds need support to achieve their goals and you’ll find that at f&m, not ucb.

Two totally different schools. Berkeley is far and away the better ranked and if grad school is in your future, may be easier to get in. BUT you need to visit because if you learn best in a small school, Berkeley is not for you!
