UNC Chapel Hill or Franklin and Marshall College for pre-med?

I have been accepted to both of these schools as a transfer student, and it has been really hard for me to choose which one will be the most beneficial for my future career! I have been able to visit both schools and really love both of them… making my decision ten times harder. Also, with the financial aid I will receive the cost is not a factor. If anyone has advice, please help!

Personally, if finances are not an issue, I would pick UNC Chapel Hill. Hospitals are nearby; they have a medical school, etc. The campus has a great atmosphere too. I don’t know that much about Franklin and Marshall though.

Do you want a large university or a small liberal arts college? The experience you desire should inform your decision.

Both schools have great reputations and will provide a great education. So your reasons to choose between them can be based on subjective factors-- unless there is a program opportunity that is available to you only at one of the schools.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:
Why are you transferring? What was it about your current school that you did not like? How does each new school compare in terms of what you found unattractive about your current school?
Have you visited? Which school “felt” better to you? Where can you picture yourself?

Imagine picking one school. How do you feel-- not only about going there, but about NOT going to the other? Now imagine the opposite choice. How do you feel? Pick whichever school feels harder to say goodbye to.

Came to say the same thing as @TheGreyKing. This is really dependent on the experience you want to have. Franklin & Marshall is a small liberal arts college in a small town; UNC is a big public university in a college town.

I have to agree with the above two posts. Congrats on getting into two really fine schools. Since the price is not a factor, you need to consider if you would prefer the experience of being at a LAC or a large public university. Nobody here should answer that for you.
