Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering?

I'm currently a junior and am embarking on my college search. I've heard a little bit about Olin, and so far it sounds awesome. I was wondering if anybody else had any input. Thanks in adavnce!

i heard that everyone's a genius there

It's a fantastic school. You know, of course, that everyone who attends recieves a full scholarship. I don't know where you can find the threads, but back in April, there were some students who had serious difficulty choosing between Olin and MIT. My father knows someone who attends Olin and the kid absolutely loves it--apparently, they teach engineering differently there, and a large emphasis is placed on teamwork and problem-solving.

i think there was recently a protest by the students cuz there was way too much work.

Take a look at this thread; it should inspire you; it it doesn't, then maybe Olin isn't the right choice. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=191561&highlight=deep+springs

Olin is definately a place that you have to visit to make your decision. At first, I thought Olin was cool and everything, but I wasn't sure I would actually fit in there. After Candidates' Weekend, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to go there, which is why I'm taking a gap year before enrolling. I think the students and faculty make Olin what it is.

Olin's really special. I really wish my parents would've been agreeable to letting me go. But yeah, to truly experience it, you need to go visit. That shouldn't be too big of a problem, since they require interviews as part of the admissions process. The atmosphere and uniqueness is pretty sweeet.

best of luck to you!
