i have three questions..firstly to get into a frat party, do you have to be an attractive girl or will they let any girl in? what do you wear usually? and if a frat guy invited you to come with him...could i trust him enough to take me? we're friends i guess..ive known him for awhile

you just have to be a student with a student ID in my school UVA. they will let EVERY girl in, for granted. sometimes the admission gets selective and the bouncers wouldnt let some guys in if there're not enough girls with him. but that really doesnt happen a lot.......... you can always find a frat that lets almost everyone in. for girls, the sluttier, the better.:) i dig skirts. for guys....mmm i';ve seen guys wear EVERYTHING, some (very few) are formal/preppy and wear sportscoat, majority (80%) wears long sleeve shirt with a collar or polo shirt and khaki pants, more laid back people just wear T-shirt or whatever they can find. some of the more "elite" frats prefer shirts with collars for men. majority of frats dont really care.

"if a frat guy invited you to come with him...could i trust him enough to take me?"

of course, it's a friendly invitation. and the guy will make sure u get in. lol.

have fun, know your limit and be smart.

it also helps to know people who hang around that frat a lot. As a girl i've been to all of three frat parties (lol) twice I went with other girls who go a lot (one of them is the president's little sis) and the third time it was a register, which I was on the list for. I'm pretty but I'm not stick thin, so if I can get in I'm sure any girl can.

It sucks for the guys here, because frats don't let any frosh guys into frat parties unless they;re really good friends with someone in the frat or have a pack of barbie dolls with them. A couple of my guy friends were actually kicked out just cause someone told someone theywere freshmen.

Haha, it's like high school all over again.

Girls can almost always get in. Usually the main reason is that no girl is secure enough to walk into a frat party alone, and no frat's going to turn a way a group of three or four girls. As for guys it depends on the school. Really good parties will have lists, but regular parties you usually need to know someone. If you're social, its pretty easy to just talk to the guy at the door and he'll let you in after a minute or two. I've never heard of a bouncer at a frat, its usually just the pledges or a brother. In the fall they'll usually let in everyone since they're trying to get freshman to rush. After they've gotten that year's pledges they wont be as willing to let guys in though.

Wow your guys frats are different from ours - with us, pretty much everybody gets in, unless it's specifically a private party for brothers and their good friends or something...otherwise, i just go with a few of my friends - both guys and girls - and we get in pretty much no matter how we're dressed...and we're freshmen too...on any given weekend, a few frats will be having their parties and will send out emails to the whole student body

the ivy league frat scene is totally different from like the big state school frat scene.

that totally depends on if its an open party or a closed party. open parties: every student... not even from the same school, gets to go in. as long as you're a student and wants to party.

if its a closed a party: then they have guestlists and they might kick you out if you dont play your cards right

almost same at UVA here.

At Dartmouth, only a total jerk would kick you out of his frat because you're a freshman or he doesn't like you or something...that's just stupid. I mean of course there are sometimes parties with lists (champagne parties, formals, clambakes, etc) and frats are closed to non-brothers during sink night and health night, but on normal party nights anybody can come in and rage.

HAHA nobody gets in frats here unless they know someone, are an attractive girl, or have attractive girls with them. However, the frats here also live up to the stereotypes and most the guys are real a-holes. The parties are phenomonal if you can get in though.

The beauty of being in a national frat is you can get into any chapter :)

which one are you in xanatos?

He does make a good point. It is great to be in a big fraternity that has many chapters because you can road trip it and party at a lot of schools.

Trust me, after a few drinks EVERY girl looks attractive to the guys in the house :)

Typically they will let anyone in who has the $5 if its your average frat party with Girls get in free , guys $5 (sometimes the girls are only free until 11 or midnight or something)...

Either way, frat parties are pretty lame and you can find much better parties in an apartment or something.

tell me, what makes a good party?

to me, it;s the variety of drinks, the dance floor, the music and the girls.
