frat scene

are a lot of people into the frat scene, guys and girls for parties?

i went once, but i didn't feel it, but i know a lot of people go and like it.

is it just me who doesnt?

This is Los Angeles, so there are all types of people out there, with all types of things to do. Good luck. Frats are not my thing either, considering I’m older than most of the undergrads (and some of the graduates, ah), but occasionally that stuff can be fun.

nah i’d say it’s just a minority and most people are doing their own thing.
if you want to party whatevs find a friend with a car and head to hollywood =D
jsut get out of westwood & santa monica . . .

the frat scene is where it’s at, you are just such a wimp to realize it. everybody goes
you should just stay off this thread dude. and you were probably lucky to get in that one time, cuz im sure you won’t get in ever again, or get a girl any time soon

I hate how they erase my comments because they were too harsh, when they said they’ll never erase comments to prevent holes in searches.

funny story that I said in the post that was deleted, but ill tone my voice down, there was this girl that was really innocent during move in week with her parents, but she was a freak on the dance floor.

@beyopi

They erase your comments because you’re a **** with a capital C.
Also, you have no chance with any women with a blood alcohol level lower than 0.01%.

You enjoy that.

@ragekage I can’t imagine CC-UCLA without you :)

i think even a ba of .01 is giving him something, we might as well go with .16 where someone is verging on alcohol poisoning before he even thinks about getting any.

@binks09

I think you’re right, the girl has to be totally and completely hammered for him to have a chance.

Actually, the girl has to be a guy for it to happen.

binks? didn’t you reply here last time, what are you stalking me? you are just riding on my coattails to get into the frat houses. ok most of you guys have some weird conception here that girls are hard here,

not really

not at all :)

but even easier at parties

and they don’t have to be drunk like you sly dogs

Well, in order to have sex with you they do.

Can someone typically assume that a guy who join frats like to party and drink?

The typical frat guy is someone who wants to get laid and can’t get any without using alcohol and parties to get any… that is the short version of why someone would want to join a social frat… professional frats are a different story.

binks09, that’s definitely not true. If you want to join a social fraternity for those two reasons, you’re definitely an idiot and probably shouldn’t be in a fraternity at all. People join because they like the idea of a brotherhood, like greek life (which is not all partying and drinking), and because they want something new. Also it can be very helpful when an alumnus of your chapter, or fraternity in general, has a position somewhere high up and helps you get a job, especially nowadays when networking is so important. Yes, people in fraternities do drink and party and get laid, but that’s not all their life consists of.

@rusoboy23

Yeah, he forgot the part about the venereal diseases.

But in all seriousness, some people do join for the reasons you mentioned. However, I find it hard to believe that most of the guys in a fraternity join for the networking and professional aspects of it. Some just join so they can get into parties, some join for the experience, and others join for the brotherhood and social aspects. Even though there are these people who join, I believe lots of them just join for the booze and *****es.

^^ I know, it was just this forum/rant section seemed to be about some loser joining a frat because he can’t get laid… but my definition is a stereotype, incorrect as t may be
