<p>The school will hold rush in the fall, where you go to the houses and meet the people and see if you will fit in. If they like you they will give you a bid and you accept he bid to become a pledge. You can live in as a transfer, but you will mos likely have to wait till your senior year becasue the rooms are already assigned.</p>
<p>in california the schools have fall and spring rush and like the above person mentioned if the people you talk to at rush like you, you recieve a bid and are a pledge for usually 10-12 weeks. You can not live in the fraternity house untill you are initiated so that means no if ur planning to live there right after transfer. Other things to know are that pledge quarter is a lot of work and you will not have much time for anything except school and your pledge responsibilities. However joining a fraternity is one of the best and most memorable experiences you will ever have in college. You really should join one.</p>
