Frats that don't haze...as badly.

I'll be rushing next week and i have an idea of which frats i want to spend the most time with during rush. I don't want to waste time on a frat though that hazes too much. I know this stuff is "secret" and people get bashed here for spreading rumors, but I'd still like to get some opinions.

I do realize that all frats haze but i know some go more out than others when its more torture than getting to know your pledges. I don't want to be a part of that.

That being said, does anyone know anything about Sammy, Sig Ep, DKE, and DU as far as pledging goes?

DKE does not haze.
All the brothers are super chill, I’ve got several friends in it.

Can’t say for any of the others.

DU def hazes.

A general rule of thumb: the more desired the frat, the harder they haze.

^^ exactly.
Besides, why would you limit yourself because of hazing? Grow a sack.

lol bc i don’t feel like getting paddled and not being able to take a crap for a week i guess

Oh that’s the least of your worries.

Wait till hell week when you can’t sleep for a week  You’ll be hallucinating purely from deprivation.

lol @ Greens

Drop those ovaries!

the sleep i don’t care about that would be the least of it haha, but of course i’m not speaking from experience so im sure its hell.

This is just annoying because I can easily deal with not sleeping/other random hazing stuff, but this is likely going to be my hardest semester academically :(

What’s the point of hazing in the first place? express dominance and boost ego? lame

For most it’s a ridiculous sense of justice tainted with overtones of “tradition,” a la “it was done to me now I get to do it to someone else.”

acacia doesn’t haze. really nice guys and they know how to have fun

To build brotherhood. You may not see it now, but after the whole hazing process, you will feel a lot more closer to your brothers and may even gain your future best friends in the process that you will hold on to for the rest of your life.
And yes, the tradition. But it sure will be fun when its your turn to haze for the next 3 years.
