i applied right to smeal, I hear thats the hardest college to get into? What do you think my chances are? If i get accepted into summer can I change my major and just go in the fall? thanks, im stressing hard

My stats were slightly higher and I was accepted into the college of engineering. I had a friend who was just accepted with a low 1700 SAT and around a 3.5 gpa but we do attend a high school that sends 50+ students to ivy schools and ivy-like schools. I would say you have a good chance of getting in and about the summer thing, I have heard that if you get into summer you have to go to that but I am most definitely no expert about PSU.
I Haven’t seen many Smeal posts at all so far, maybe one or two on the decision thread, and they were early and super high stats, so maybe Smeal is a little behind the other colleges.
If you apply for fall and summer, you are first evaluated for fall, and if you don’t make that cut, you are then evaluated for summer. If you are admitted for summer, you are expected to attend. If you only applied for fall, and are denied, you can ask to be considered for summer but you are “in line” behind all those who originally said they would come for summer session. So, no, you can’t apply for fall and summer, be accepted for summer and then switch. You’ve essentially already been denied that.
