Being a high school student, gas is one of those things that sucks my wallet dry. As of late, gas has been falling alot! My friend across the street just filled up for a 1.99 per gallon. Yes, I live in the refinery center of america, but I still think it's a good thing. Just wanted to post about my happiness.

Ah, that sounds pretty nice, here in AZ it's still hovering around $3.50 or so. Compared to the 10+ $/gal rates found in the rest of the post-industrial world, it's pretty dirt cheap, lol.

Gas has never been much of a problem for me, and I'm really quite apathetic about its fluctuations, because higher gas prices mean fewer people on the street, and I'd rather pay $20 more a month than have to deal with compounded hours of traffic congestion.

It's down to $2.79 in some places here. It went down 20 cents in a day (yesterday I saw it in the same place for $2.99). It doesn't matter either way to me because I don't drive, but I'm sure my friends are happy.

I drive a Ford Focus, so gas usaully isn't a problem. I was really feeling the pinch during the summer when I was bouncing over town. I felt really bad for truck/SUV drivers, but it's getting better.

Gas is going down but I feel like for some reason everything else prices go up like food :/, maybe its just that article I read about college students and the food they buy.

Paid $2.65/gallon today in Connecticut. In July, it was over $4.00 and I was paying $75.00 to fill my Honda Accord, so it's definitely a big improvement.

$1.99?! I don't think I've seen gas prices THAT low around here - it was $2.20 or so in late 2004 and early 2005! In my area, gas is around $2.99 which is AMAZING considering it was around $4.30 this summer.

Too bad this is just a short-lived happiness. Once China, India and all those other developing countries start demanding fuel, up with the gas prices.

1.99 isn't normal here either. I think I saw 2.30-2.50, it really depends on the station. I heard my dad (works in the catalyst industry) say that gas might go down to 2.25 for the national average.

It's good that gas if falling, but I hope legislatures continue their push for renewable energy. The same thing happened in the 70s and when gas prices fell, everyone forgot about developing new forms of energy.
