Fredonia Anyone??

I was wondering if anyone was accepted into the BFA Musical Theatre program at Fredonia, but ISN'T going there? See, I'm either 2nd or 3rd on the waiting list (I can't remember which one) and I'm just curious as to how many people decided not to go there to see if I have a chance of getting into the program. Thanks!!

Hi Jen.....My daughter was accepted at Fredonia. She informed them this morning that she will not be attending.

Good Luck!!!!!

My D's boyfriend was accepted into their voice program (even though he is an amzing actor and wanted the MT program-go figure). I don't know if he is on a waiting list for MT, but I somehow think he is stickinv with the voice.
Could you please share your impressions of the school with us (or PM me if you'd rather). My D, who will be a rising junior, is looking elsewhere, but is pleased that he can get home often to see her and attend events and do recitals together. I'd love to know poeple's thoughts on the programs and thee campus, etc.
Thanks and here's hoping that you get that open spot on the waiting list, Jen! I'd keep checking with them so that they KNOW that you are really want to attend the school- I've heard that may help, but have no first-hand experience.

i have a friend who was accepted but is attending UMiami instead. it is a female.

In my opinion, I love the school and I love the surrounding community--when I went to visit I had a good feeling, like I could definitely see myself living there (though it depends on the person). It's a really beautiful community (especially during the fall and spring) but it can be brutal during the winter. There are restaruants, a wal-mart, hotels, a bowling alley, and places to shop. Public transportation is free to students and goes around campus and through the town. The classes there are relatively small (no big lectures) so that creates good student-professor relationships.

Any of the music/performing arts majors are good ones. Every year, the Fredonia Chamber Singers come to my high school to sing for us and their conductor works with our select chorus (he and the conductor at my high school are good friends). I have a friend who is actually in the music education/vocal performance major and he is in the Chamber Singers, and he loves it at Fredonia. Hope that helps!! Let me know if you have any more questions and I'll try my best to answer them.
