Free application but still pay for SAT/ACT?

My son recieved a free application to a college he was considering.

I presume we are still paying to send ACT/SAT's?

Yes

If the college requires more than the FAFSA to determine aid, you may need to pay for the CSS Profile too.

That sounds right. The fee to send scores and the CSS Profile is levied by the CollegeBoard and not the college. However, I think there are fee waivers involved for that too based on some other factors (financial need?) but it would be a separate process from the one that you used to get a free application to a specific college or group of colleges.

Thank you!
