Free Campus Visits

Hey, i am a rising senior (I actually start school tomorrow) and I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of schools that provide free campus visits. I am not sure at all what I want as far as colleges come and I would like to get out there and visit different colleges to get an idea of what I want. I am Hispanic so do not exclude diversity weekends from the list.

Also, specifically, Do Columbia and UPenn have free campus visits?

Thank you.

Pretty sure all campus visits are free… as far as tours and info sessions go at least

I mean the schools that pay for you to fly out for campus events and stuff.

I don’t know colleges that do that. If this was so, many kids would be flying down on weekends doing nothing and then not attending the university.

Doubt there are any free campus visits for a prospective student… but for some schools, I know they fly you out on admit weekend to check out campus but that’s obviously if you’ve gotten in. And you must qualify based on financial status as well, I believe. Schools like Columbia and Princeton come to mind… [Though for Columbia, you need to get in RD for that]

A lot of schools have a program like this for URMs. If you are not a URM, you won’t be able to take advantage of any of these programs.

Some of the schools in my link above include other minorities, low income, and first gen. as well.

I was actually just wondering about this. I know Carleton, Kenyon, and Amherst fly students in for Multicultural/Diversity weekends. I think most also require some kind of application.

But I’m going to refer you to this thread - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/770660-fall-diversity-visit-programs-compilation.html</a>. There’s a good amount of information on that list.

//edit
Apparently I’m waaay late on this. Sorry :P

Unless you are a recruited athlete at a D1 school no school is going to pay for you to visit them.
