Xabber: Thanks for the info. I did the same thing with my May SAT scores, but I didn’t see a letter. Did this happen to anybody else?

No class of 2012 t-shirt, though they did get a Nalgene 2012 water bottle, ID-wallet-key holder and a NSIT messenger bag. Many of the houses sell their quirky shirts on move-in day, so have cash in your pocket the day O-Week begins!

I received my shirt in the mail yesterday, I believe? I’m wearing it right now. I got it for submitting my March scores as well. It’s a little on the large side, but I absolutely adore it. Any idea what this could mean for admissions?

um, I’m getting full tuition, room, and board from the university… I think I can deal with them spending money on t-shirts for prospies.

btw, thanks for paying for my tuition, guys! :P

Seriously though, are any of you paying full price? If so, then you can be mad. If you’re getting any financial aid, then I think you have to bite your tongue on it.

We’re kidding. :P

(I think we’re kidding? I’m kidding, at least.)

You know that about half of all students pay full tuition, right? -_-;;

^ I am. And I still don’t think I can be mad. At most of these top schools, we get more value than we spend. For example, the school might spend $80k/year on each student while even the full pay students are only paying $50k/year.

I was accepted off the waitlist, so no swag for me. I was actually really looking forward to getting a Chicago scarf, but I guess, since they knew I was definitely coming, they weren’t going to expend any extra effort.

But I’m (probably) going to receive full financial aid, so I can’t feel that bad.

Though I still really want that scarf.

^It’s okay shiny, I understand. I still want this ‘free’ t-shirt. xD

I just got the a tshirt in the mail just now! It’s the same one described before… and the letter basically says thank you for submitting you scores… however, I took my tests in november and in may, not in march.

Does everyone (who submits scores in their junior year) get this tshirt?
Armarium asked this before, but Any idea what this could mean for admissions?
thanks so much!!

I know what shirt you’re talking about, they gave those out in August too when I visited.

Think I can guilt them into giving me some swag if I visit next week? :]

Wait, but I didn’t visit the campus and got it.
Also, they wouldn’t mail them to everyone who submits scores would they? Because that would be like thousands of tshirts …
Also, I live outside the border… in Canada.
Do you think there was a particular group of people they sent them to ? thanks!!

^upppp…
