is that a good sign?

They send lots of people shirts.

Because they have an over-sized admissions budget.

To make me feel bad by not giving me one :(

It was a nice shirt. I’m getting glasses from them soon, too.

lol they even have different colors. My friend got a maroon one and i got a white one.

I got a gray one, wanna switch? :P

lol i want one!

Maybe it’s just to taunt us after we (well…I) get rejected.
They might be that evil.

Or maybe " Because they have an over-sized admissions budget".

Why they haven’t send to me!:(

They have an oversized admissions budget and a penchant for gimmicks.

i got a white one… i want a maroon one

I have a grey one with maroon lettering, I want a maroon one though! I honestly love Chicago’s mailings, they’re by far the best of any schools’.

Can we find a common pattern for who got a shirt and who didn’t? My kid got one… SAT 2380 and a couple of 800 subject tests, and they were sent to the university a while ago. EA app was not done (just went in over the past couple of days). Had visited, but not interviewed. Anyone else?

They sent me one before I submitted anything except for sat scores. I was just on the mailing list.

Hey intparent, everybody in my school who’s applying to UC has already gotten a shirt before sending out their apps (there are about 4-5 EA applicants and the school usually takes 1-2 per year).

Maybe the pattern is in a) When they send the shirts and b) What color each person got. Mine was maroon text on a white shirt and it only came in today, while the others got theirs weeks ago. I don’t know what colors they got, but if everybody else got white on maroon, maybe I’m the lucky one…;)

Nah, just kidding, I don’t think that UC would make a decision like that before apps are sent in. Maybe they wait to send shirts until you finish sending them your SAT scores? I took the SAT before, but I was the only UC applicant in my school to take the October test. What if the colors are determined by how much they like your scores? 0_0

2340… maroon on white… O.o

Sent from my SPH-D600 using CC

My DS UChicago '16 got in EA, never got a tshirt. His friend who applied RD got a tshirt, was rejected and now is Harvard '16. Don’t put too much weight on it one way or the other.

Maybe the shirts don’t really matter, but inventive speculation is still fun, isn’t it?

i had only sent in my act scores and i got my shirt like two weeks later… i dont think the color makes a difference but i got a white shirt with maroon writing for my 35 act
