Free Time?

It will be held tomorrow (Friday) night, not 100% certain as to times, believe it's somewhere in the vicinity of 5:00 to 10:30 or so.

It's a formal dinner and ceremony at which the cadets receive their rings, followed by a dance and reception. There is also a speaker present at the dinner. The dinner is in Mitchell Hall, the dance in Arnold Hall. Both places are set up and decorated with a lot of 2009 memorabilia and decorations. I don't know what the courses served are, but rest assured they're much better than the normal Mitch's regalia. :P

Are there any traditions that go along with the ring dance at Air Force?

Of course! It's also sort of a tradition for people to ask celebrities to come as their dates.

I'm sure there are a lot of traditions I haven't heard about though, not having been there myself...

Yea there a lot of traditions that happen at the academy, such as the end of each half of basic training, to make fun of your cadre. Something like that.

haha i dont think i'd try that one, even if it WAS tradition ;)

Why not? We did. It was a blast and our cadre loved it. You'll find yourself sad to see your 1st BCT cadre leaving because its hard to stop everyone from relaxing after 3 weeks. It was a fun way to blow off some steam. :)

Skits are one of the best parts of Basic, for sure. :)

ah okay i wasnt sure if it was just blatant disrespect or for fun.. i think i'll reconsider :) sounds like it'd be cool to do that
