Hi, I'm taking the French AP LITERATURE exam this May. Are there any prep books available / any recommendations?
Also, those of you who have taken it - what is your recommended study plan?
Any other advice on preparing or taking the exam would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

Is no one else on CC taking this exam??

I'm taking it, but there probably aren't a whole lot of other people, if any at all. Only a thousand and a half or so take it every year.

I've never ever seen a book in a store or on Amazon.com or anything. For the exam, I'm just going to go over all my notes again, focusing mainly on themes of each work. My teacher has been having us do old problems, which has been useful. If your class isn't doing that, ask your teacher if he/she has any old exams.

You can go to prentice hall I think and then search around there. I'm not sure if this is the place. But it is by the same people who made either abriendo puertas or momentos cumbres de las literaturas hispanicas for the AP span lit exam. Search around and they will have books for the AP exam. Actually, I'm bored, I'll do it.

Ok I cant find it, but then again, all you have to do is just by the few novels, plays and short stories. Or you can just get them off the internet. It's not like you have AP Span lit that has 50 different works to know.

im gonna take the ap french lit also, but i haven't even read one of the works yet. i got a 4 on the french lang without so much as one study session, so im pretty confident about the french lit
just ask your teach for the old exams

It's required that you read the works beforehand, otherwise you won't have anything to write about in the FRQ's. They are pretty much analysis like in English Lit, but must be written in French. You can't do that without reading.

yea, i know that, but im pretty sure that for the multiple choice they give an excerpt and you just answer the questions.
of course im going to read the works, didn't mean to come off as if you can get a 5 without reading them..

lol As a CC student, I actually wouldn't put that behind you. Actually you just need cliff notes...

does anybody know of some kind of french lit forum or community where you exchange thoughts and stuff?
im just wondering this because this is my scenario:
1. im self studying because there's no class like that at my high school
2. there's no info whatsoever my teacher gives me
3. theres no "AP French Lit" book

so yea, im basically all by my lonesome
i personally think there should be a type of forum like that and divide the forum by works, and then post topics on themes and such

think if all ap french lit students united!
we'd probably all have the same essay :)

yeah such a forum would be amazing
