French: Conversation and Composition

Is anyone here enrolled in one of the French: Conversation and Composition classes? I'm in a time slot that I don't want and the slot that I want already has a waitlist. I dont want to take my name out of the one i'm in (because theres a waitlist for that as well) and wait for the one i want, and risk not having French at all. So I was wondering if i could find people in the class and see if people are willing to do a switcheroo. I'm pretty sure there are a few in my situation because i feel like we're all waiting for people to drop to get the times we want and we may want eachother's times.

I dont know, probably a slim chance, but what the hell

My D just took that course during the first summer session and said that it was wonderful. The professor was outstanding! D then went to Paris second summer session to take more courses and practice her french. Anyway, I'll ask my D if she knows anyone who is planning on taking the course in the Fall, and I'll get back to you if that's the case. Is it possible for you to be on the waitlist for the other section at the same time as the one that you're already registered for (for the time being). You can also go to the first class of the section that you want to be in and talk to the professor, because students do drop and add all the time. Both of my kids have had this experience many times, and it has always worked out in terms of them getting the particular class/section that they want.

May you ask your daughter which professor she had?
Can you show up to a class that you're not registered for? It's just awkward if they call roll and youre not part of the class and you have to explain yourself or something...but i'll try that.

And no, i can't be on the waitlist and be enrolled at the same time for the same course

thanks for your help

I tried to send you a pm, but it wouldn't go through, because it said that there are too many stored messages. If you clear some of them, I can try sending the message again.

should be good now

I sent you a new PM, and I hope that it went through. I apologize if I might have sent it more than once - because I couldn't tell if the first one was submitted or not.
