FRENCH. drop or no drop?

im a junior this year and im only taking one ap class (ap us).

i heard that students should take 3 or 4 years of one language if they're planning on going to a UC .

im in french 3 right now. its only the 3rd week of school and i am doing horribly in the class because the first 2 years i had an easy teacher who taught us nothing so i used that class to do other class hw and stuff.

should i drop french 3 and take another class while i still can? i dont want to risk getting a bad grade during my junior year. i cant take another ap class though because i dont have the prerequisites for the others.

does that 3rd year of language really make a difference for ucla/ucsd/uci?

Oops, I answered your other post before I saw this one.

The UC schools basically spell out what they need, don't they? And as I said in my other post, it would make a difference if you are in or out of state.

I'm thinking you just have to buckle down and learn the material you should have had in the first two years. Are the others in the class in the same position? (If so, you have an argument with the school, or at least something to approach the teacher with as a group ...)
