What can you tell us about the Wisconsin Placement test given for french at Orientation.
How hard is the test? My daughter had two years of french in high school. Hasn't taken it since her junior year. Any idea on what she can expect, and odds of testing out of some part of four semester requirement?</p>

<p>I would say it depends on your daughter’s education and background. The test is set up with a multiple choice listening and grammar/fill in the blank. The University of Wisconsin says that roughly 3 years of high school French is equal to 1 year (2 semesters) of College-level french. I had taken three years of French and only tested out of 1 semester.</p>
<p>Oh, and be careful about taking the exam seriously. You can only take it once.</p>
