So I was just on Collegeboard's site, and it says they only French Reading and Listening SAT II in November, and just the reading the rest of the time. Do both reading and listening test and just the reading tests both count as complete tests? Which one would be better?

I was also wondering when I should take it. I'm going into my junior year, so I've only taken French for two years, so should I take it this year? Or is it difficult, and should I leave it for senior year?

Yeah, that does make sense...I don't know, I hadn't thought of the SAT II French until tonight actually, since I'm planning out my tests for next year.

I really am more book smart than common sense smart. :)

I still don't get why they have French with listening and just plain French though...what's the point? It sounds better to take the Listening one. But it's probably harder. Does it matter in the end though with colleges?

French w/listening is good for native speakers. Many native speakers are bad at spelling/writing so they would have trouble with parts of the regular one where you have to identify the right vocab word and they all sound the same. I really doubt it matters- since it's offered only once a year, not that many ppl take it.
