<p>His scores aren't that surprising because most don't really see drastic improvements in scores til they get upper level math and more english with denser reading assignments. There's no reason worried at this point. The PSAT this year supposedly had higher level math and analogies were eliminated. These changes may have affected your son's scores.</p>
<p>Plus or minus 20-30 points is, statistically, meaningless. Some critical reading sections are just plain boring, while on another test, a kid might find the CR of more interest. Don't even concern yourself - prep for the Junior year test, unless your S will graduate early.</p>
