Freshman Books

Hey Guys,
is there a website where you can find your first-year textbooks @ McGill?
In addition, does McGill use American-styled textbooks provided by like Glencoe, Houghton Mifflin, McGraw-Hill,etc.? Thanks.

There's no website that lists the textbooks for each class, if that's what you're looking for. You can always check out the McGill Classifieds (which you can get to from the McGill homepage) for buying books - which is generally way cheaper than getting things new from the bookstore.

Speaking of, I DO have the textbooks for MATH 140/141, CHEM 110/120, PSYC 100 (with Donderi), and HIST 214 (European History) left over from last year - any of which I'd be happy to sell for quite a bit cheaper than the bookstore does. If anyone is interested at all, just send me a message :)

Sorry, I don't think I really answered your questions at all! D'oh!

haha, yeah, i might need those chem ones.

i got managment books if anyone wants...

Photocopied versions.............................................

I have science books and random arts classes books that i'm selling too! poli 211 and regl 203

hey "staringatmyshoe", i might be interested in your PSYC 100 book. what condition is it in? email me: japneet@gmail.com

oh and crazy chai, if poli 211 is comparative politics, i think im interested. email me.

thanks.
:-)

so then how do you find out which book to buy?

Professors usually list the textbook required for the class on their syllabus.

so you don't buy your books till after your first class?

I believe that's what it suggests you do on the McGill firt years' website. However, it also said that you could find out which books are required for your classed in the bookstore and buy them beforehand if you'd like.
