Freshman Dorms VS. Townhouse

Does anyone have any pros and cons for each option... i am leaning towards a townhouse at this point

From what I heard, townhouses are nicer because they have their own kitchen, etc, and are secluded and usually far from any RAs. However, they are probably not the best idea for freshmen, because it’s hard to meet people that way and you are stuck living in very close quarters with 3 people you (probably) don’t know. I really want to live in a townhouse after freshman year though!

The townhouses are pretty much freshman housing. My son lived in one freshman year with three other athletes on his team. There’s two typical dorm rooms and a bathroom upstairs, and then a living/dining area downstairs and a full kitchen. Good storage closets both upstairs and down – makes the best sense if you know your roommates beforehand.
