freshman fifteen

is there a place on campus where you can weigh yourself? does the gym have a scale?

Yeah, inside the locker rooms. At least it did last year. You can also go to health services.

sorry but would you please explain where those locker rooms are? XD i haven’t been to the school gym yet! Do you need to show your ID/be there to work out to go into the locker rooms?

Yep! Go to the desk in front of Weigand Gymnasium - it’s just past the squash courts and Entropy. There should be an incredibly bored looking desk attendant. Ask him or her how to get in to the locker rooms to use the scale; I think you just have to show your ID to them and they’ll have you write your name down or something. The locker rooms are just behind the desk.

All that trouble when you already know you gained 20% of that freshman fifteen ;)

Haha. Hey, you never know. Last year I was concerned about the freshman fifteen, so I checked my weight at health services, only to discover that I’d actually lost about ten pounds. Turns out not having a car is an excellent calorie burn.

On NPR they just reported that that the bulk of the freshman 15 is due to drinking and not dorm food.

Don’t trust the fit of your clothes as a guide to weight gain— the industrial strength dryer could simply be shrinking your jeans and you’re not really gaining any weight at all !
