Freshman GPA

I am currently a freshmen at U of M, trying to decide whether or not to transfer to the College of Engineering as a sophomore. I was hoping I would have figured out what I wanted to do by this time, but that hasn’t happened hah hah. Still, I am currently taking the prerequisites for cross-campus transfer. These are math/physics/ computer courses, and I figure I’m gonna end up with a 3.0. The minimum requirement for cross-campus transfer is a 2.5, but I guess my question is, have I put myself in too big a whole GPA-wise if I decide not to transfer, and instead stay in the LSA (main college)? I kind of have a feeling that the advisors that I’ve talked to are providing me with “soft” answers, which is nice of them, but I would really just like to know whether I am fucked or not. I would appreciate any imput, thank you very much for your time.

No, a 3.0 with only 30 credits in is not a big deal. I don’t know if you will be able to transfer to COE with it, but a 3.0 starting in LSA isn’t too bad.

There are more than enough LSA classes to pad your GPA in the next 3 years, so don’t worry.
