<p>I'm pretty sure you are - because I know quite a few people (including my roommate) who had one freshman year.</p>
<p>What size are the beds in Gilliam? (I need to go buy sheets :])</p>
<p>They're "extra long" so get the extra long sheets if you can, but because they're also quite narrow regular sheets will usually fit on them as well.</p>
<p>Just don't get the ones from the company in the ads the school sends out. Biggest ripoff anywhere. They say they're the only ones who provide the right size sheets when really you can get sheets that fit in any department store.</p>
<p>Also, is it true that the dorms do not have A/C?</p>
<p>I don't think any of the freshman dorms have AC. Bring a fan (or 2). My D's room was stifling at times but 2 fans (a window unit and a box style) helped.</p>
<p>XL sheets in Gr-Lees was a waste for us. The mattresses were old, but "m not sure if new mattresses would have made a difference. (S says XL not needed) If you have the luxury of packing your car with both- try using regular twin sheets first.</p>

<p>If you hang things with nails, thumbtacks, etc, buy a little jar of spackle (or tube of white toothpaste) to fill in your holes at the end of the year no matter how beat up your walls are when you check in....</p>
<p>WL2011, it's just as much work for us to find the dimensions of the closet as it would be for you to look it up. A lot of these things are probably on the website somewhere, and it's not like we have room dimensions memorized. The closets are walk-in and they're normal sized.</p>
<p>If I remember correctly, the rules for putting anything up on dormitory walls is that it must not leave a mark - the W&L bookstore sells poster putty, that's what most people use.</p>
