Freshman housing

I know you can't choice what hall you get to live in but does everyone get a coed dorm? I really DO NOT want to live in an all girls dorm. I cannot express how much I don't want to live in one.

Yakeley is the only all-girls dorm on campus. My friend got put into Yakeley her first year (without choosing it), but she said it wasn’t that bad at all (especially since Gilchrist, the other side of the building, is coed, you share a cafeteria with the guys etc.). At the same time, there are so many dorms that house freshmen, and the chances of you getting stuck in Yakeley are relatively slim (so don’t worry too much).

Alright. I just really don’t want to be in one. Do you think if I am placed in there I could be switched? Or is set in stone?

I believe you can switch after the first semester. I know you can switch after the first year.
Yakely is in a very pretty part of campus. It is not a large dorm and the chances of you landing in it is small. Some other dorms have coed floors and some have floors with all men in one hallway and all women in the other hallway separated by a small area with elevators.
