I'm going 27-28. Anyone else going then and doing the early arrival thing?

Most likely I'm going 27-28, but not early arrival.

:( Aww. Who am I going to hang out with then sigh

@ this time the only place i might be able to go is like the Hong Kong one but that takes too much effort.. sigh

Aww why? :( Are you going to Korea for the summer?

Yup, i am. That's what i do every summer now.. >.< get a job teaching english~ wheeee

Ooh. You must get a lot of money. Korean people are crazy about getting their kids to learn English haha

I get paid like 20 dollars an hour, which is not so bad... (i teach for like an hour for 5 days..) I have to give 10% to church for offering (my dad's the pastor... so in a way, it goes back to him.. but then he gives church 10%.. hmm like policeman paying taxes) Most of it's my play money anyhow so yeah, it works out... ^_^ I didn't know what to really teach them though so i copied my bro who taught me SAT while tutoring another kid.

$20/hr is good! You could have it be conversations..like, make them talk to each other in English while you watch? That would be easy :p

20 dollars/hr!!!!

and the jobs here are all less than 10 dollars/hr :(

^ yeah benefits of speaking two languages (trying to add on a 3rd language)

Any private tutoring these days is at least $15/hr, especially if you're a college student.

Geez, I get paid $6.75/hr for teaching Calculus...and fractions.

I was junior/senior when i started getting those rates.. my mom did cut it down a little (10~15 instead) and she said she wouldn't interfere after i get into college... so most likely, i would get paid more possibly (although my bro got paid less than me and he goes to Cornell.. crazy)

Son & I will be attending the 5/20 orientation in Honolulu, HI. It should be interesting, seeing which folks have decided to go to USC. He thinks about 20-30 from his HS & another 20-30 from my niece's HS will also be there & going to USC in September.
