Question about freshman orientations…is there one or more dedicated to Honors College students? Or is there just “orientation”. If there was one dedicated to Honors College Students…around when was it held in past years?
During the orientation that my son attended last year there was a separate breakout session for Honors College. I think there was a separate social time too. Overall, there were numerous Orientation sessions held from Early June to late July
The Honor’s College students attend the same sessions as the other students. However, there is a breakout portion (with a catered lunch) and they also register for classes online (prior to the beginning of the orientation sessions, since they have priority). So, when the other kids are registering for classes, they can meet with their advisor and not have to worry about registering for classes. Since my current Junior had already registered for classes in May, and her advisor was actually not there during our orientation session (in July) we were free to leave at that point.
