I am pretty sure that I saw a list of what classes are typically offered in the fall, spring, and what ones are only offered in certain years a few weeks ago, but I can no longer find that. Does anyone have a link to it?

@Pancaked (I would appreciate anyone’s input but Pancaked posts here a lot), what is your opinion on taking 17 hours the first semester as a freshman? I’m really interested in learning German in college but intro German is a 5 hour course. I’m definitely taking ECON 100, SPAN 201w, and MATH 150a. I would either take PSCI 100 and my FYWS on top of that, or take one of those and German. Would it be a big deal to a) take 17 hours the first semester and/or b) take my FYWS in the spring?

There’s nothing wrong at all with taking a FYWS in the Spring. Many students do it just because they couldn’t get into one that interested them/worked well with their schedule.

Econ, Spanish, Calc, PSCI, and FYWS is a fairly heavy schedule for your first semester as it is. I would not switch PSCI or FYWS out for German, which will likely be an even bigger time commitment. Perhaps if you cannot get into an interesting FYWS or cannot get a good PSCI professor, then you might consider it. Otherwise, I think you’d be better off trying German next semester rather than pushing off the FYWS.

I meant to reply sooner, but thank you! My adviser agreed I should hold off on the German.
