Freshman Summer Start Program

<a href="http://www.sce.cornell.edu/sp/fss.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.sce.cornell.edu/sp/fss.php</a></p>

Is anyone doing this? Has anyone done it? Please post your experience here; I am still deciding about whether I should attend it or not.

its alot of money...unless money isnt an issue. and i want to be as little burned out as possible. I need my summer.

I'm thinkin' the same as sparticus.. I'm going to spend my summer working, getting money to help pay for Cornell. :P .. although I might want to do one of the shorter less academically focused summer freshmen things though, like POST or the Wilderness thing.

gee i thought it was free.,..

I was actually focusing more on enjoying myself than making money robinage, but...haha

Sorry imback, I wasn't talking about the fee for these programs, though I do think there is one. I was thinking more of the "opportunity cost" of going to the Fresh Summer Start Prog. instead of working during the summer, and making money. (excuse the rude intrusion of economics, but I'm studying for the AP next week and couldn't help myself. :P)

sparticus, I was hoping to have some fun this summer too, don't worry I'm not all concentrated on making some $$$. so, I'm looking more towards the social programs like POST (the volunteering one) and Wilderness Reflections (the canoeing sounds really cool, and no experience necessary!). what I meant was that I don't want to spend money taking classes over the summer, when I'll get plenty of those in the Fall.

OOOOOOOOHHH i get it now. seperate thoughts confuse me haha

did you ask the canoeing question on the classof2009 site? haha

actually that wasn't me on the classof2009 boards.. I don't remember where I got the info about no experience for canoeing, maybe Cornell Days?

thanks for clearing that up sparticus
