Freshman Summer Start

Today I got a packet in the mail about the Freshmen summer start program. For those of you that didn't receive it yet, you get to take 2 course, one of them is the standard writing seminar, and another is a course of your choice.

The program sounds really good, and I would like to use the course of my choice to get a basic engineering requirement course out of the way but...

it costs $7,250, im not getting any financial aid :(, and I only get to choose one of the two courses, however I do get an early introduction to Cornell and an experience as to how demanding it will really be

I haven't even asked my parents yet b/c i just got it, so in reality, i don't even know if it is an option, but what do you guys think? do you think you are going to go? or skip it, also if anyone had gone, was it worth it?

thanks

you'll probably be surrounded by a lot of sophomores and juniors in high school. a few of my friends did a program there (8 weeks long) taking a course.

Too expensive...Cornell is gonna cost A LOT, and I don't have the money to spend on...extra Cornell.

yeah, i have the same feeling about the money, also scottm, i forgot to say that this is only 3 weeks long

it's also your last summer before college, why not have a good time?

yueah i'm not doing it...i dont want to be...burned out cough cough lol for O-Week hahaha
