Freshman Transfer

I am a freshman at a mid sized university. I decided that the college experience is here is not what I was looking for. I want to transfer because I am unhappy here and because my major is not that good at my college, but I feel like I would be missing out on the full college experience if I transfer.

Is it possible to just redo my freshman year and have a full four year college experience? Since I'd be transferring from a private to a public school, It would be even cheaper than four years at the private school.

It depends on the school. Some colleges consider you a transfer applicant if you have taken 1 post-HS college course, others let you apply as a fr if you have less than a full year of post-HS college, and others have specific credit limits.

So, if you finish your fr year, you will be considered a transfer anywhere. If you attend less, you need to check each college website for their policy.
