Freshman Transfer

<p>I looked around and couldn't find any statistics that outlined how many freshman got in off transfer vs sophomore/junior. I hear it is extremely difficult to get in as a freshman transfer student. Does anyone have any personal stories or experiences. </p>

<p>I'm applying this spring and would really like to know.
If anyone would like to know my stats:</p>

<p>High School GPA: 3.0 UW 3.9 W
SAT: 2140
College GPA: 3.78
*From Virginia Tech Honors College</p>

<p>It's around 50/50. Since you'd be a transfer, UNC admissions are far less rigorous, but your HS GPA is pretty low. Write some darn good essays and you may gain admission.</p>
