Freshman tripling..

Looking forward to Admitted Students day next Saturday and was going to ask this then..but, let me ask it here. I know that the freshman are tripled, definitely at first and then hopefully get un-tripled. When we visited in October - I "think" I remember them saying there is a "per-day" ?refund ?discount off tuition for each day you are tripled.. did I remember correctly..and if so..what is the amount and what is credited - your tuition account? Also, is it highly likely she will be untripled by the end of the first semester?

For every day that you live in a triple, they will discount your housing a certain amount of money. I think that it’s $5/day, but I’m not positive. They will only give a discount up to $500 dollars, and it’s applied after you get your detriple letter. If you decline the detriple, you forfeit any further compensation. I’m not sure how it is anymore right now because they’ve built new dorms, but it usually worked out that everyone was detripled by no later than the first three weeks of the Spring semester. If you’re not detripled by late October/early November, you won’t be detripled until the next semester.
