What is farther from the truth than the stereotypes that I gave of old dorms? :) They're all like that. Period.

lol tenniscraze, I agree

IRC is only ~1/3 international students and yes there are American first years who live there.

"Be WARNED if you're going to live in the OLD DORMS: you will be surrounded by sorority girls who wear pearl earrings, pearl necklaces and granny looking handbags with their ohh "I'm soo from izzy deezee delta zeta!! what are you pledging?"

^bad stereotyping.

"And I don't like your stereotyping of old dorms. You know the whole party line about stereotypes and yada yada yada. People can be deeper than they appear if you give them the chance"

Well said.

to add some truth (not stupid stereotypes) about brown College.

out of the thirty first years this year: about 6 out of 14 first year GUYS drink frequently (at least weekly)

For the girls, about 8 out of 16 first year GIRLS drink frequently.

as you can see, the first years THIS year like to party in general.

HOWEVER. the stats i gave dont apply for the rest of brown college residents at all. overall, MUCH lesser percentage of brown upper classmen drink frequently.

Brown residents are very, very social on average, just in different ways, but they have fun. playing mafia 3 nights a week is one of the activities they like to indulge in.

This upcoming year, Brown will have 45 first years.

"Besides, Brown is increasing its intake of incoming first-years by 50% to a total of 45."

Does that mean any/more rooms would be made into triples in Brown?

They thought about that, but they're not doing it anymore :) So everyone will have their own rooms, including a roommate next door!
