<p>I know Stanford doesn't take Freshman year grades, but can you opt for them to take them? I did great 9th grade and it'd be a shame not being able to submit it for consideration.</p>

<p>They look at them for sure, they get your whole transcript. I don’t think you can ask them to specifically look at them.</p>
<p>They say they don’t consider them, when I’m assuming is true, so I would guess that they have 0 impact, and probably you can’t ask either.</p>
<p>I think they might be saying that they won’t factor the Freshman grades in your recalculated GPA that Stanford uses in its admissions process. I can’t imagine they won’t acknowledge the grades at <em>ALL</em>, even it means just glancing it over and seeing you performed well.</p>
