I will be going to IB program as a freshman and currently i am an 8th grader taking geo honors so when i go to ib i will take algebra 2 honors along with ap human geography, biology 1 honors, english 1 honors and french 1. So… as my 2 electives, I either want to take Pre-Ib music, A.p world history, or physical science honors!! The thing is I swim competitvely as a side and i do not want to quit! Also, i want to get into stanford unviersity and i know they like VERY well rounded students. And i personally think I am well rounded. Do you think Stanford will let me in if I am smart (help me choose between preib music or ap human), I play the violin EXTREMLY well (which is why i am going to take pre-ib music) and I swim very well and i plan on going to higher level competitions. Thank you!!! PLease answer ASAP!
Well, it’s hard to determine if Stanford is going to accept you or not. Are you increasing your chances? Most definitely, in my opinion, you should take Pre-lb music and continue with your passion for music. That is what Stanford looks for, commitment and well-rounded people. One thing you should do is join swimming for you school’s team and clubs that will help you increase your chances even more.Over its good to be determined to get in such high-level school but do not over work yourself.
