i will be a freshmen engineering student at wvu next fall. i was just wondering where most of my classes would be? i kno the engineering building will be on evansdale but someone told me most of my classes wud b on downtown campus. im trying to figure out where to live based on where most of my classes will be

I highly highly recommend living in Braxton, which is part of the Towers on the Evansdale campus. Braxton is the Engineering dorm, and you will meet many other engineering students. If you live elsewhere, you will be the only one studying while everyone else seems to have tons of free time, and that is really lonely and really hard. Plus a lot of group work is done in your ENGR101 class, so its easier to meet up with your group. Yes, most of your classes will be downtown, you will probably only have two classes on the Evansdale campus, ENGR101 and ENGR199. Just make sure when your schedule is made at Orientation you take a good look at where each class is and make sure you have enough time to get back and forth between campuses if need be. My son is currently a freshman engineering student, and when he was given his schedule at orientation I realized he had a Downtown class 10 or 15 minutes after an Evansdale class – we had to run back in and get it changed. 30 minutes between downtown and Evansdale classes works well. You will hear a lot of stories about PRT problems, but my son has had zero problems or delays with the PRT so far.
