feel free to ask me questions

How are the academics? What is the mood around campus? What is there to do around campus?

when it comes to academics, i have to say that it can be really challenging, but thats what binghamton is all about. thats why the school has tutoring to help students. me personally, i have a tutor for biology because here the sciences are really tough. the mood on campus is really good. there is lots to do, there are activities, concerts, clubs, and parties every single weekend. so far, i am in love with the school. the people are great and it is easy to make friends.

wat wud u say is the worst part in the school, you always here the good stuff but not easy to find the dirt on it.

so far, some negative things i've heard since i've been here, is alot of racism. there was an incident against african americans and asians. i have to say that this was disturbing. another thing about the school that i dont like, is that they dont have enough academic advisors. there are like 600 students per advisor and that is definetely a problem. not only is this bad, most of the time they look like they have no interest or patience in helping students.

What were your GPA and SATS? I have an 88 GPA w/ 15 honors and ap classes, 680 in verbal 580 in math and 650 in writing on the sats.

my gpa was a 92 with 10 ap classes. 675 verbal 600 math and 660 in writing.

Hi maggie,
How is dorm life at Binghamton, the town, and food?
How is the library? How about technology (computer, Internet access, registration, etc.)?
How are the professors? Are your classmates motivated?
Can you tell us about some of the activities you participated in?
I'm not sure I can withstand the pressure of racism. Can you give me more specific details on the incident you mentioned?
Thanks a lot for your time. (I probably ask too much)

dorm life can be pretty fun depending on where you live, i live in a community so we basically know eachother pretty well, we do stuff like campus wars, arts and craft, and also compete against eachother. since i live in one of the old dorms, its not that fancy. now, there r other new ones like mountain view and newing halls.i've been here for about 2 months and its really easy to get to places and know them really well. the best part is that buses here r free for students. the food is pretty good, not the best but at least its something.we have 2 libraries, the science and the main library. both are terrific. i dont about most proffesors, but mines are pretty cool abd down to earth. they help me a lot. i am president of my floor, and ive done some activies to raise money.and for the incident, its all cleared out, i wouldnt worry too much if i were you.
