Freshmen Science Honors Program

Did anyone get invited to apply for USC's Freshmen Science Honors Program?
Is there someone who knows how one enrolls in this program?
Could someone who is in this program comment on it?

I got invited too. You fill out an application online for which the link is included in the letter (do it asap) and then they let you know if you're in or not come March (I think?).

My D was in FSH last semester, but found it too rigorous. One reason was that she had taken college level Science classes while in HS, but not AP Science courses. Her advisor told her that the foundation for the FSH Science courses should be AP Bio and AP Chem. Students planning to enroll in FSH should ensure that they have the proper foundation in the sciences, and be ready for a strenuous workload right from the beginning of their first semester at USC.

I'm in FSH. I did not take AP bio or AP chem (it wasnt offered at my school), and I'm sure my FSH classes would be easier if I had. that said, i'm doing a lot better than many people who did take both of those classes. The program is strenuous but there are many benefits to the program.

socks (or anyone else): would you recommend the program? What benefits exactly does it have?

Would there be any way to include a letter of recommendation from my AP Bio teacher in the application for this program? I would really like to get into the program, and I think a rec. from my teacher would help a lot. In my normal USC app. I only did the counselor recommendation, so if they're basing it a lot off of that app, there isn't any input from my teachers, which I think would be very beneficial to have.

bump..... anyone have insight on the perks to being in this program?

im not in FSH but i have friends who are. FSH is ballin! If you put in the effort, the worst you can get is B/B+. The people I know all have above B+s in both bio and chem, even though the curriculum is way more rigorous (fast paced). On the other, Im taking the regular route, initially expecting it to be easier. For one, it is slower BUT... the curves are way crazier. People do so well that it's really hard to get a good grade in the class. So...it comes down to FSH (more work, more timeconsuming, great chances of getting a better grade) versus regular (less work, easier tests, harder curves/grading).
