I will be at open house on Friday. For my engineering major, there will be a luncheon. Does anyone know if you have to RSVP for the luncheon? Does registering for open house give my parents and I a spot at the luncheon? Also, do you have to sign up for the campus and housing tours or can you just show up?

Thank you!

@ curiosityrover It would be a good idea to let them know you are coming for lunch and how many. If they get the head count right there will be plenty of pizza. If you know for sure you intend to set aside time for a housing tour it might not be a bad idea, but I’m sure they will be flexible and give plenty of tours as needed. They had a tour sign up tent in front of Santa Lucia last year.

Expect a lot of Pizza!! Wish I could go…

We didn’t do a separate RSVP, just the one in response to the email. My thought was since they know your major, they pass along the info to the people running the luncheon for your major.

It looks like there is also a housing tent this year, so we will also be hitting that up for the housing tour.

Does anyone know what “Ignite Cal Poly” is at the open house? Several of the engineering majors are having an ice cream social. But Ignite Cal Poly is on the itinerary for Computer Science majors.

So Pizza at the luncheons, Pizza at the Friday Nite Invite! Awesome! Is there any place on campus where we could try out what they would serve for breakfast?

@ sutteyo all the usual campus dining facilities will be open as this is mid quarter, you can sample what you choose.
