<p>I'm going to be staying in Riker Hall. I know I'm going to get a fridge for the room with my roomate, but is it worth it to get a microwave, I've heard there is one on each floor, but I'm not sure.</p>
<p>Also do you think it’s worth it to get a tv for the room?</p>

<p>Often son would bring back a boxed lunch/dinner then reheat them later, grits was his roomate’s fav. They used them enough to need one.</p>
<p>My son had never watched much TV, he and his roomate bonded over Southpark.</p>
<p>I would definitely get a TV if you can. My roommate and I loved watching movies and she and I always hosted watch parties for football games we couldn’t get tickets to. Also, if there’s any TV you actually follow, it’s really convenient to have the TV in your room instead of taking the chance that the common room will be available. </p>
<p>We had a microwave too and I think it was worth it. I bought the fridge, my roommate bought the microwave and we used both fairly regularly.</p>
<p>I barely watched TV freshmen year but it’s always better to be prepared for those rainy days inside! Get a microwave if you don’t want to walk in and out of your dorm to the kitchen. =)</p>
