ill miss her! (we go to public school now)
but im helping her find a good one that isnt very selective she hasnt done horribly but just not very good...
We live in Southern VT and she is looking for the Southern VT or NH area, and also the northern MA area, like NoHo or Amherst area
what are some GOOD schools that are about an hour away (i found lots of schools but lots of them are wierd and make include...farm work or wierd sh it)

Does she want to go to a boarding or day school?

it depends on how far it is (she is loaded) will any schools take students mid year?

She could consider Northfield Mt Hermon,Winchendon, Kimball Union

What is she looking for in a school besides not overly selective? There are a few in that region, my daughter's school included, that take 2nd term transfer students. My D is having a wonderful time and is working very hard for good grades, so we are quite satisfied.

And BTW, even the "not overly selective" schools do offer classes with very good academic rigor. They just aren't applied to as much as those more selective.

Does she need to play a particular sport or an art form or music?

Of course, FA is going to be tough, unless your friend is a star athlete or something like that.

I don't advertise my D's school online, but if she is interested, I can pass it along in a PM.

BTW, 1st term ends in 3 weeks, so if she wants to get in for 2nd term, she had better get applying really , soon so all the paperwork (transcripts, etc.) can be handled.
