friendly towards financial aid?

well, i've been hearing (reading, actually) a lot of posts about how people not applying for financial aid have an extra nudge towards admittance. well, i wont delve into my financial status but i can safely say that--as an inner city kid--will need LOTS of financial aid. i mean..... LOTS. my family is pretty broke.

does this kind of shoot down my chances for getting in a bit?

thanks!

not at all.

Dartmouth is need-blind in admissions, and they meet 100% of need (as determined by them). You can obtain a good estimate of your efc by using the finaid calculator on the collegeboard website.

Good luck.

They offered me a lot more than I expected, and a lot more than any other school did. From what I know from others as well, they are very generous in their offers. They're able to do this because they get so many alumni donations.

they probably want more "inner-city" kids (especially if you're a URM; many of the URMs I've met came from pretty top schools), so no, it definitely won't hurt you

sweeeetnesss! thanks!
