friends got their college acceptance letter i havent yet?

my friend got his acceptance letter today from the same school i applied to… i havent gotten a email or letter yet… is this implying that i did not get in? or…

Probably means that letters are released in batches.

i mean, he got his through email so ;/

wouldent i get a email saying that i did or DID not get accepted?

Sometimes they send emails in batches too. Also possible they roll out the decisions as they are being made. And another possibility is a special scenario. Maybe you’re in the running for a scholarship and they want to let you know when you’re accepted. Or maybe they wanted your friends to know early because of some process to apply for a full scholarship. There’s several possibilities. Until you get a rejection, or hopefully an acceptance, you really don’t know anything either way. So might not be what you want to hear, but just be patient.

It depends on the college. My D got an acceptance via email a couple of weeks ago, and loads of people still haven’t heard back because the college notifies throughout the month. Check their website.

@JLEEON I would wait; eventually you should get a letter stating whether you were accepted or rejected. Oftentimes colleges give a generic time frame of when they release decisions, e.g. “mid-March.”

My daughter received an email at 12:01 am this morning congratulating her of her acceptance.
The acceptance is sent by individual CUNY colleges that was the first/second choice selections.

Which college if you don’t mind me asking?

I would not imply anything. You will find out soon.

If it is rolling and you have comparable stay, did you submit your application around the same time? There are many reasons to explain this.
