<p>I'm extremely proud of my school and community in that all this competitiveness was kept to an absolute minimum. We celebrated each acceptance and mourned each rejection as a group. I felt like the kids who were rejected from schools I was accepted to were truly happy for me, and I am thrilled for my friends, many of whom were accepted to school near the top of my list. I hear these stories of friendships torn apart by college admissions, and it makes me feel very lucky to live in a town where everyone is so kind and supportive.</p>
