I feel like I'm writing a will or something, but whatever. I just wanted to say that you are all spectacular and have made my Early Action process (almost) enjoyable. I look forward to coming on CC every day after school so that I can see what witty and compassionate things you've all written while I was away. I truly enjoyed reading your posts (and answering nearly every one because I have no life) because you guys made the "competition" lovable and therefore, less painful. You guys have ridiculously awesome stats in most, if not all, ways, but more importantly, you deserve to go to Yale because of who you are. Before posting on CC, I was hesitant because I was worried that I'd get picked apart like the last cupcake in the box. I am sort of an underdog compared to you all, yet you were always incredibly nice to me and treated me like I really deserved to go to Yale.

Whatever happens tomorrow, I thank you all, for being, well, YOU. It is truly a crime that some of us won't get in, but try to remember that a deferral or even rejection in now way diminishes who you are as a person; in fact, it will probably make you stronger in the long run.

I hope Yale adcoms get so confused by the whole harvard/princeton dropping-early-quagmire that they decide to just accept everyone early! LOL.

Though obviously that won't happen. Either way, I really hope we, all of us on CC, get in. You people are amazing. I know I haven't posted as much as I possibly could have (I'm usually on CC when multitasking 10 other things), but it feels like I've gotten to know you people so well, especially just for online folk. And if you are the kind of people who I'll be spending my next 4 years in college with, then I'm going to have one awesome time in college.

Let's try to get some sleep tonight, shall we? ;)

Apparently I didn't deserve it enough... no more Yale for Fringey. I feel worse than I've felt in years. I hope you guys have a great time at Yale, and I really do mean that. Enjoy it for me.

Fringey, thanks for coming back so I could say good bye. You truly are a warm and funny voice in the world of edgy and sometimes egomaniacal ccers. You MUST come back to this site and tell us where you end up because we all want to know. And many of us will envy the kids who get to spend the next 4 years with you.

Fringey - we have all grown so fond of you and we were hoping you would be admitted. Your stats are nothing to be ashamed of - 95% of the kids in this country would love to have your stats. You will be eagerly accepted at just about anyplace else you would apply. You have to remember this is a highly competitive, somewhat arbitrary process and unfortunately sometimes well qualified students get left behind. It is precisely why Yale is considering adding two additional residential colleges - too many superb students are denied.

I second riverrunner's request. Please let us know where you matriculate. Good luck and start thinking about all the other great schools in this country that would be happy to have you!

Damn, I'm a lurker from the Columbia forum and I kind of miss you. Truly sorry about your news, but it's encouraging to know that really good eggs like you exist here in College Apps Land. Any chance your journeys might lead you to Morningside Heights? ;)
