From inside the stadium

I can’t imagine there’s a large number of Michigan fans in Beirut?

I can barely afford the cable TV the game was broadcast on, let alone flying out to the game in Arizona while our defense decided not to make the trip.

Shane was impressive in my opinion. He could really put some heat on that ball.

You would be surprised Fartsquirrel. About 20 years ago, I was driving from the Northern city of Tripoli (Lebanon, not Libya) to Beirut along the Mediterranean coast and we stopped halfway to stretch out legs. We are talking middle of nowhere, boonieland! Well, as fate would have it, there was a guy with a stand selling water, cold soft drinks and snacks. He wore a nice maize and blue had adorned with a big fat block M! When I asked him how he got the hat, not only did the guy not speak a word of English, he did not even know that the hat represented a university, in the US or otherwise. My father insists the man was a typical Michigan alum! hehe!

But seriously, there are dozens of Michigan alums living in Beirut, but there is no organized alum association like in Dubai.

To watch the game live in Beirut, Alexandre and friends had to get up at 6:15am Sunday morning. I’d call that dedication.

5:15 AM, thank you very much! ;)

5:15 a.m. - did they call it “Breakfast at BWW”?

I think I would have preferred waking up at 5:15 than fighting to stay up through that passionless 4th quarter. At some point I just wanted it to be over.

I’m glad bearcats was there and I wasn’t. Hopefully he showed his passion by buying the ticket from Dave Brandon.

Wait! I live in AZ. There was a game here?

“Wait! I live in AZ. There was a game here?”

Well, it wasn’t much of a game…

I thought UCF played well against Baylor
